CountsBook ("CountsBook", "we", "us") provides trade management software for businesses that buy, sell and move physical goods. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through our website, https://countsbook.com.

Information you give us. When you contact us by WhatsApp or email, we receive your name, business name, phone number, email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.

Technical information. Our hosting provider records standard server log data such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and the pages you request. This is used for security and to keep the site working.

Analytics information. If analytics is enabled, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. That may involve cookies or similar identifiers and data such as pages viewed, approximate location and device type.

We do not create user accounts on this website, and we do not collect payment card details here. Payments for the product are handled separately.

To reply to your enquiry, arrange a demo and answer questions about the product.

We rely on your consent when you choose to contact us, and on our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving our website and responding to business enquiries. Where law requires a different basis, we will provide it at the point of collection.

The site stores your theme preference (light or dark) in your browser's local storage. It is not sent to us.

If analytics is enabled, Google Analytics may set cookies to measure visits. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this site.

You can clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies does not prevent you from using the site.

We use service providers to run the site, including Google Firebase for hosting and, if enabled, Google Analytics for measurement. These providers process data on our behalf and under their own terms.

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation or a valid legal request, or to protect our rights and the security of the site.

Our service providers may store or process data outside Pakistan. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure the information receives an appropriate level of protection consistent with this policy.

We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond, maintain our business relationship and meet legal or accounting requirements, then delete or anonymise it.

Server logs and analytics data are kept according to our providers' settings and our operational needs.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop using it for a particular purpose, by emailing hello@countsbook.com. We will respond within a reasonable period and may need to verify your identity before acting.

If you have received marketing messages from us, you can ask to opt out at any time. We will still answer direct enquiries you send us.

This website and our product are intended for businesses and are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy as the site or our services change. The latest version will always be published here with a new effective date.
